Operates a baby clinic on Wednesdays from 1-4pm (Clinic 1 undertakes 8 month check-ups and Clinic 2 provides 6 week check-ups); Health visitor each Wednesday: 1-3pm; Midwife & ante-natal: Thursdays: 9am-12pm; Psychologist: Thursdays: 1-5pm; Counselling: Mondays: 9.30am-12.30pm.

Adolescent Specialist Addiction Treatment Service (ASATS)
ASATS works assertively with young people, their families and other community agencies to offer services that address complex substance misuse needs [tier 3 & 4], in a creative and collaborative way. ASATS can provide, Community detoxification, Opiate Replacement Therapies, Structured Substance Misuse Counselling, Relapse Prevention Work, Harm Reduction Services, tier 4 assessments leading to placement in inpatient/residential drug and alcohol treatment services.

Advice Line Newham
Adviceline Newham is a one-stop telephone advice referral service that can link you to the advice, information and help you need, including welfare benefits, immigration, debt, housing etc. Trained advisers from Newham Citizens Advice answer all calls and have up-to-date information on all local advice services. If need be, they can make you an appointment to see someone who can help you.

Alternatives Crisis Pregnancy Centre
Schools and educational work, out-reach worker, home visits. The 'We Are Family Group' for young and vulnerable parents includes outings, parenting classes and life skills teaching, e.g. handling conflict, self-esteem, therapy around unplanned pregnancy and post abortion. Free service with clients being seen within 1-2 days. No childcare facilities at counselling centre but crèche provided at the 'We Are Family Group'.

Arc in the Park
Offers the opportunity for local people and children to come together, provides a safe environment for children to play while parents receive support. Play work is free, there is a £1 entry charge for youth club. Workers have NVQs or diplomas, a BA in art, management qualifications, food and hygiene and advanced child protection.

The Centre offers facilities for sport and also provides a place for a friendly chat and cup of tea. It has a resident Carer and Toddler group, a youth club and activities for the over 50s. It provides a secure environment for children to play after school has finished, and encourages residents of all ages to participate as volunteers.

DASL (Drug and Alcohol Service for London)
Young persons' counselling aims to work with young people in an age-appropriate way, on the impact of living in a family where there is parental substance misuse and domestic violence. This will include providing young people with alternative strategies to managing personal or relationship difficulties rather than misusing substances and using violence. Service is free to residents of Newham or attending school in Newham. Waiting list usually 3-4 weeks. Counsellors have a minimum counselling diploma and there is a specialist young persons' counsellor. Clinical specialisms in substance misuse and domestic violence.
