Health Visitors
The Health Visiting Team promotes good health and well being by working with children, young people and their families and the wider local communities. We do this by: • Offering advice and support on healthy lifestyles to prevent ill health. • Signposting to other services and groups that address breastfeeding, child safety, managing minor childhood illnesses and smoking cessation. • Providing Child Health Clinics and appointments to offer advice on feeding, behaviour, parenting, development, post natal depression and family issues,. • Supporting alongside other specialists, families whose children have Special Needs. • Working in partnership with Social Care, Education, Housing, Police, Early Start and the voluntary sector such as Homestart and other agencies. • Home visiting for family support.

Child and Family Consultation Service (CFCS)
CFCS employ a range of specialist CAMHS practitioners in child psychotherapy, clinical psychology, educational psychology, family therapy, art therapy, nursing, psychiatry and social work. There are emergency psychiatric and self-harm rotas, and highly specialist teams for conduct disorder, adolescent mental health, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disabilities, hospital liaison and complex problems. There are a number of outreach and liaison links, including Early Start services.
