Parent-led service providing a range of group work sessions for parents dealing with challenging behaviour; advocacy and advice for parents of children newly diagnosed and parenting education programmes on a wide range of issues. Users have input on all areas through the Family Support and Moving On Together groups. Free service. Children's workers have NVQ level 2 training.

Language, communication and interaction team
The language, communication and interaction team is part of the learning support service and works in partnership with parents and carers as well as schools and early years settings to support parents or carers of children aged 0-4 with severe communication difficulties. Develop parents or carer skills to communicate confidently with their children; liaise with schools to ensure that young children with severe communication difficulties make a successful transfer into school or nursery; support children aged 5-16 who have severe and specific speech, language and communication difficulties so that they have positive experiences in school; liaise with schools to ensure that children and young people aged 5-16 on the autistic continuum have positive experiences in schools.

Help to provide and assist in the provision of facilities for recreation or leisure time activities. Advancement of education; liaise with schools and training bodies to help provide support required for sufferers should should they need support, help by providing extra classes where they can catch up with their school work. To befriend and help sufferers, parents and carers in anyway they may require assistance.
